Disclaimer … (please read!)

Our office always sends a letter to clients when the court appoints us. If you have been appointed an attorney and have not receive this letter, please call our office and make sure that 1) we are representing you and 2) that we have your correct address.

This website is here to give people more information about UVPD. If you actually want legal advice, you should 1) apply for a court appointed lawyer, if you’re accused of a crime, or 2) hire your own lawyer. Nothing on this web site is legal advice for you or the situation you’re in.

If our office currently represents you, we hope this site answers some basic questions. It’s meant to be a starting point, but that’s about it. If you are a client and you want to get in contact with your lawyer, call Umpqua Valley Public Defender at 541-957-5344, and make an appointment. You can e-mail the office, but please only use it to send documents or other correspondence. Please see the “Contact Us” page for more information.
